What do I need to know before booking an entertainer?
A. You should know how many children/guests you are expecting before you book your time. Please estimate high!! Parents often assume "some kids won't want their face painted". From our experience, however, almost every child will want to have face painting, and often times, adults will also want to have their faces painted to match their children. We are unable to book for only 1 hour when there will be 25 kids at your party. This is unfair to your guests and puts the entertainer in an awkward position when it is time to leave. If the party doesn't last as long as you anticipate, the price may be adjusted to accommodate your needs *at the artists' discretion. Keep in mind, most weekends are booked back to back, and artists are often unable to stay late because of underbooking. We want to make sure everyone at your event has a positive experience.
How do I book a date?
A. We need to know the exact date and time of your event, and the amount of time you estimate you will need. Remember, we can always leave early, but can very rarely stay late, so please estimate high. A 30% deposit will be required to book a date. A paypal invoice will be sent to you, and until the invoice is paid, your time is not secured. If you would rather pay with a credit card or even pay with a check, arrangements can be made. Please email us with any questions.
What do you need at the party?
1. Your entertainer will need to have shelter from the elements. This means, if your party is outside, shade will be required to make it a positive experience for everyone. If you need your entertainer to bring a canopy/EZ up, there is a small fee of $25 for setup and takedown. Thank you for your consideration.
2. If your event falls under the category of corporate pricing, please make sure someone is available 30 minutes prior to your event end time to cut off the line. Your entertainer is working hard to take care of your guests, and can't be responsible for keeping track of guests in line. It is a frustrating experience for your guests and an awkward experience for the entertainer when there is a long line and your artist has to leave. Please ensure the guests understand that the artist needs to leave.
3. A card table and small chair is always appreciated when you have face painting or glitter tattoos. We have a lot to carry in to your event to make it fun! We are able to provide our own table and chair if you are unable to do so. Please specify when booking.
What kind of products do you use?
A. We use only cosmetic grade paints. They are formulated to be safe for the skin, and the ingredients are approved by the FDA. Paints used include Paradise, Wolfe FX, Tag, Mehron, DFX, Ben Nye and Kryolan. Our glitter tattoos are applied with cosmetic grade body adhesive and cosmetic grade glitter. If your children don't have any problems with regular makeup, soaps and lotions, they shouldn't have any problems with our paints and tattoo supplies.
How many entertainers do I need?
A. If you have more than 20 children for one activity or more than 15 children for 2 activities, you may want to consider hiring a second entertainer. The cost to do so is comparable, but it cuts down on time and keeps the kids from getting anxious. Please inquire with Katrina about options for bringing in a separate balloon artist or a second painter/glitter tattoo artist.
